Undeserved
Hard for me to share about this song without getting emotional. Like I said in the liner notes of the album, ‘God is the one who has seen me at my dirtiest and still pours out compassion and love’. It’s just too much, too good to be true. All I can bring to God is my stuffed life – sin. What does He give me in return – life in all it’s fullness! Do I deserve any of it? No way! Yet He pours it out! We’re unworthy of a drop of his grace but it is available to us ‘on tap’. What’s our response? To beat ourselves up cos we don’t measure up? Or, to walk as the righteous ones He declares us to be and be the containers of His grace that spill over and splash on people as we do life on the planet?
