WHAT IS ROUNDABOUT MINISTRIES?
Roundabout Ministries, a Christian para-church organisation, based in Melbourne, Australia, was established in late 2004. The ministry exists to equip churches, Christian leaders, youth ministries and young people to discuss and deal more effectively with issues related to sex and sexuality. Adrian Rowse established Roundabout Ministries in late 2004, when he felt God prompting him to begin sharing his own personal journey of sexual brokenness growing up as a pastor’s kid in his teen years.
Roundabout Ministries has three major focuses:

COMMUNICATION
Roundabout provide quality communicators throughout Australia (and beyond) for ministry to people of all ages in a range of different settings, (churches, festivals, youth events, mens events, conferences, and schools), on a variety of topics related to sex/sexuality/identity. While much of this communication takes place through local churches, Roundabout is working increasingly in strategic partnership with major youth organisations and denominational groups. Some of these partnerships have included Baptist Youth Ministries VIC & NSW, Churches of Christ Youth Vision NSW & VIC, Youth Alive WA, Soul Survivor VIC, VCYC, Easterfest/AGMF, Blackstump Festival, Forge Network NSW, Youth For Christ VIC, CYC Camps VIC. Roundabout’s Fight Night event has equipped thousands of teen/young adult Christian guys, (in the area of pornography/lust/purity) throughout Australia since being launched in 2007.
In 2008, Roundabout launched a series of ongoing training seminars under the banner of ‘Sex.God.Life’. These events are aimed at equipping Christian leaders, (pastors, youth/young adult leaders, chaplains, counsellors, etc) with quality training and resources to take back and implement in their ministry settings. The first Sex.God.Life conference will take place in early 2010.

RESOURCES
Roundabout Ministries produce resources that equip young people to make godly choices regarding their sexuality. These resources also help to equip local churches, (youth pastors, youth leaders, parents, etc), with relevant, biblical information and strategies that will enable them to tackle these sensitive issues in a positive and healthy way. The first resource ‘The Fight’ was released in late 2006. Designed to help young Christian guys stand strong in a sex-saturated world, the resource looks in depth at issues of pornography, addiction, purity and encourages the pursuit of a passionate relationship with God. ‘Sex.God.Life: Sexuality, Identity, Discipleship & the Christian Life’, (Roundabout’s 2008 Sex.God.Life training seminar) was released in early 2009. Several other resources (including a resource for girls and also a resource for parents), are in the early stages of development with the view for release in late 09/early 2010).

SUPPORT
Roundabout Ministries provides support to 18-25 year old Christian guys who are struggling with same-sex attraction, via a support group, an online community, via email and through prayer and informal counselling. (Note: Roundabout Ministries is not a counselling service. We provide support, encouragement and resources).
