WHAT YOUNG PEOPLE & PARENTS ARE SAYING
‘the best thing for me was the encouragement that someone else had been where I am and was able to help me pursue and receive Gods healing and restoration. Meeting with Age has inspired me to not give up or give in to temptation because I know that it’s possible for me to get to where I want to be. I am no longer isolated and alone on my journey. I know it is not just me. It has given me a greater appreciation of Gods grace’.

‘Being twenty something, a Christian, a guy, and struggling with homosexuality isn’t something I’d wish on anyone. It sucks - I’ll say that from the start. In a world that says, “Follow your every whim!” you have to stand-alone and say NO! I ‘came out’ about my struggle to a few of my Christian mates about two years ago, it’s bizarre; you’d expect sharing something like that would be really restricting but it was definitely far more liberating.
My mentor gave me a look at Age’s website, having read some of its content he thought I’d be interested. I had just recently gone through a pretty average ’season’ in my life and felt I wasn’t really connecting with any of my Christian mates, certainly when it came to my ’struggle’ they were light years away!
One night in desperation whilst chatting with God I figured it couldn’t hurt to simply e-mail Age and get some advice! About a week later I was sitting in his office laughing, crying, but most of all I found a guy not too different from me who’s leading the way in The Battle. I think above all that meeting gave me a sense of hope. Hope that maybe I could do all the things I felt God wanted me to do.
Age has taught me that there’s no easy antidote, but God is faithful and is right beside me. Since spending time with Age, I’ve come to realize that my passion, my ‘hearts desire’ is to help people with the same struggles, and shed some light on an issue that has been kept in the dark for too long.

When our son, (currently struggling with same sex-attraction), saw Light FM’s website advertising Adrian’s music CD and an article about Adrian’s struggle with same-sex attraction, he showed it to us.
This is such an alone place to be for the person struggling and their family. Our son has found this a particularly lonely and difficult journey and it’s hard to trust people with his inner feelings especially in the Christian circle because Christians shouldn’t have this problem, and often most don’t know what to do about it.
We contacted Adrian as a point of contact that our son may want, but also for answers and understanding of what our son is going through and how we could help. Meeting with Adrian was very encouraging. There are many who are going through the same thing, only we are all isolated and it’s all kept secret. We are thankful for Adrian’s honesty and openness.
One comment that Adrian made was that as parents we tend to focus more on the problem and what our loved ones are going through, when what we need to help them focus on is who they are in God. Encouragement, love and understanding are essential.
Our time with Adrian helped us to press on, praying and trusting God with our son.

This is very inspiring. I am a 51 year old who has struggled in a different way than you, but struggled non the less. You are right . The battle is life long and the lies of the enemy are loud if we listen. Thanks for your testimony. Keep the fight up and fight hard. Pray I do the same.
51 year old, website feedback
After hearing about you on Light FM, I thought I might check out your website. Having struggled since the age of 16 with my sexuality, I could relate to much of what you said on the website - particularly about how your struggles have drawn you so much nearer to God. Well done for being so honest and humble about your struggles. God will really honour you for your dedication to Him. My hope and prayer is that I one day will be able to be so open about my struggles in order to help others. Keep up the good work Adrian.

‘Age’s openness and trust in God has really impacted me deeply. As a young person struggling with homosexuality and associated sexual struggles, I found Age’s depth and ability to be open a relief in the storm that homosexuality issues are. His story and ability to identify with what I was saying, and vice versa, has brought a new hope that I couldn’t have imagined.
After hearing Age on a radio show, and then “coincidentally” finding him on the internet, I quickly realized that seeking support from him was a must. Since then, and only in the space of a few short months, I have already grown and been spurred towards God on a massive scale. While battles with these issues are constant and horrible to endure, I find comfort in the fact that there is hope, and that God has truly found a way to bring me into a new phase of my Christian walk.
Age has not only helped me see that my walk with God can improve, but that I can use that improvement to help others in similar painful situations.”

‘it was pretty powerful to hear that a Christian guy had struggled with SSA, let alone had moved beyond it to get and stay happily married for 5 years or so now. That was encouraging in and of itself. Just the realisation that I’m not the only Christian guy to have this struggle brought healing to me as I was no longer feeling alone and isolated, but now have others that I can share pretty openly with about where I’m at and what my deepest issues in life are.
